Eleanore (Ellie) Kelly read history at Southampton university (BA Hons) before setting up an equestrian business in 2003, in order to fund her ambition to reach the elite level of Three Day Eventing, which she duly did for seven years. During her time as a professional eventer and equestrian entrepreneur, Ellie wrote articles and did a number of media placements, including her first TV job- presenting live horse racing at the Cheltenham Festival. A job with BBC Sport in the lead-up to London 2012, on a documentary series called "World Olympic Dreams", added "Broadcast Journalist" to her list of titles and this led to more regular opportunities with broadcasters such as the BBC and Btsport.
Ellie has written for a number of newspapers including The Daily Mail, The Sunday Times and The Independent as well as magazines such as Tatler, Spear 's and the official souvenir guide to The Olympics. She has provided both filmed and written content for BBC Sport Online and Btsport and was instrumental in introducing and supporting the "Action Woman of the Year" Awards.
She has Presented for Eurosport, the popular Sky Channel, "Horse&Country TV", Six Nations Rugby, The R&A Women's and Junior Open Golf Championships, Kia Women's Cricket SuperLeague among others. She has also commentated live sport for the BBC.
